Students are required to write a diary that records experiences of researching tourism destinations. These could be domestic destinations of different scale, domestic, international or a combination of both. This should be written in the first person and should link personal observations to issues raised in the literature. The diary should not merely provide a descriptive account of the places: it should identify and reflect on key challenges, issues and conflicts. The diary should be organised as a chronological account.
